Suggestion: Character History Board.

Essentially; should we have a board where people can post their character histories.

This will be optional if it goes through, though personally I am opposed (I feel that being able to view someone's character history would partially ruin the mystery and curiosity, so I won't be using the boards if they are made) but in the interest of fairness I'll put it down to a vote.

This vote will be open for 7 days (18th-25th) and the result of the poll will be used to decide whether or not to include the board.

I think it is a good idea. It'll be a great way for people to tie their characters into the lore and recieve constructive critiscism on their backgrounds.

Of course every character has a mystery, and they should keep it that way. This is should be for people who want to keep a record of things they have done, or to reveal a little into the past. I would use it to create a slight backstory. I would like to have names and ideas stored here, on the site, so that I could link to it, instead of having to explain them all over again.

Like in a novel, when someone is retelling a recent event, the author usually says something along the lines of, "He quickly retold the events of the last several days." It would be less time consuming and more accessible.

From my experience (Although I voted yes) With character history being posted, is that people use the information when their character meets yours, and already know/telll things about you, even though it's OOC. I'm totally with putting a history as long as people don't automatically know the information IC which they wouldn't anyway.

Could just be that I RPed with different people though >_>

Yeah, it's kind of annoying when you post your history and then <insert name of n00b RPer/mary sue here> tells you your whole history like you don't know. I'm all for it, though.
