I propose a sort-of challenge to all of you! Simply for my amusement and a bit of a laugh, of course. I challenge all of you to create your most believably mary-sueish intro. Then, depending on the results, we'll make 'em all fight each other. Or throw them in the suepit I told engelbert about.

Mary Sue intro competition? Oh, I'm in. It'll make your eyes bleed.

Do your worst. I've seen so many sues I'm invincible! Perhaps I'll drag Zachariah, my character, in for some judging. (Distant "NOOOO!" is heard.)

She ran through the forest, knowing they were chasing her. Her dainty feet didn't make any noise as they moved over the forest floor. In fact, the only thing that could be heard was the song she was singing to keep herself moving. She had a beautiful voice, and anyone that heard her would stop and be transfixed by it -- except for her pursuers. They were so evil that they were immune to song, and only wanted to catch her to drag her back to the castle.
Well, she wasn't going to go! She wouldn't marry /him/! He was old and ugly, and she knew for a fact that once they were married he was going to have her killed so that he could rule her kingdom.
Of course, there were other reasons she'd left home. Her parents had been killed by a dark knight, who know ruled the kingdom and had kept her locked away in a tower so that no one could hear her sing. She could sing only for him. Eventually, she had escaped with the help of her friend, who was a dragon. She was able to speak to it because she had dragon blood flowing through her veins. That was why her eyes were so stunning, a neutral shade of blue -- but violet when she was happy and orange when she was angry.
But she kept on singing until she tripped over a root and was thrown to the ground, long red hair cascading out around her. One sleeve of her dress was now torn, exposing a tanned and beautiful arm.
She began to cry as the footsteps came closer, and as her tears fell to the ground, a barrier of protection sprung up around her.
Her name? Arya.
((Basically just drew from every cliche I can remember.))

Zachariah's reaction: Six out of a possible ten score.
My reaction: Five out of a possible ten score.
Zachariah's comment: "Why am I doing this again?"
My comment: "Because I created you and I told you to. I've got a wide array of mary-sues here, don't make me "borrow" one and have her hook up with you."

xDD Well...I think it's a good thing, that 5/10.
Proves I'm bad at writing Sues. (: Generally, that's a plus.
Irinys' Reaction to the Reactions: -hiss-

Dawn rode through the woods on her beautiful white pony. The pony had a long flowing silver mane and tail and it was this mane that Dawn stroked with her left hand.
Her right hand, rather than holding the reins, was clasping the hilt of the heavy broadsword she always kept with her. She had no need to hold the reins as the pony instinctively knew where she wanted to go. This was only possible because the pony was half unicorn. That was why it was white and silver. It also meant that it could run faster than every other horse on the planet, possibly on any planet.
The broadsword was precious to her as it was the only thing she had left to remind her of her family. They were all killed by an evil wizard who was jealous of them because their magic was so pure. At least that was what she told people; secretly she also possessed a unique magical amulet that warned her when danger was approaching.
No one knew why her parents had chosen the name 'Dawn' for her because her hair was black. It was assumed that she was named Dawn because of her striking amber eyes that were the same colour as the sun at dawn.
She was currently wearing a long, ankle length dress made of fine silk. It was forget-me-not blue in colour. Beneath this dress she wore black leather pants and a black shirt so that she could disappear into the night. She was a mercenary so it was important to escape easily.

Irinys: Can I eat /her/?
Rinneh: Please do. That was quite a Sue. Haha. But what I find is that you're too good a writer to actually have a believeable Sue. I mean, most of them have no skill. You, on the other hand, have skill and so could write any character fairly nicely.

Zachariah: Is it wrong that I'm going to enjoy watching a sue being eaten by a harpy girl?
Me: Incredibly.
