An eerie place of molten rock and pillars of smoke. The Verge of Death is an active volcanic wasteland. There is no plant-life here and therefore no animal life either. It is not recommended for any non-flying creatures to wander here as any firm ground rarely stays firm for long.
The Dragons use this desolate land as a resting place for deceased dragons. The dead are respectfully lowered into the lava pits and are essentially cremated. This is a more sensible way of dealing with such large family members than other conventional methods such as burial.
The Verge of Death is also rumored to be the home of the Dark Lord Razgriz. The home of The Dark Lord Razgriz is currently unknown but placing it here seems to be wistful fantasy born from his hateful nature.
